The nature of excitement makes it a rather slippery thing to define. That is, different people have individual views on what makes for interesting events.

There are some things that are easily shared over a meal, during the course of a morning jog, or perhaps in written form, and published for public consumption.

Then, there are things that mean something only within the moment, and are rendered stale in the retelling, lamely justified by a rueful, “I guess you had to be there.”

Then, there are some things that seem best shared after dark, over a couple of beers, during that magic hour when everything seems like a good idea. Trusting, of course, that everyone will remember to forget everything in the morning.

Or barring that, making obscure references, sneaking little inside jokes, like sticking encrypted posters in bulletin boards, more as a reminder for futureselves than anything else.

    We beg your indulgence.
