We visited the bird photography exhibit at Vargas Museum this afternoon. Personally, had one of our professors not been a birding enthusiast (his term) himself, I might not have been that interested. But as it turns out, Dr. Somintac submitted five photographs of his own, of different birds found in UP Diliman, and he had such a way of telling his stories that me (+Jeanne) and a few of my classmates decided to go to the exhibit.

We looked at birds. Small birds, big birds, colorful birds, dull birds. Made one realize just how many different species there are, and just exactly how… different they can be from one another. A lot of birds, especially the unfamiliar or rare ones, can look very strange.

Owls on the wing but looking straight at the camera. They were just begging for O RLY?-type captions.
